Competency Assessment

    This Competency Assessment must only be conducted by SHS Crew Chiefs, Senior Crew Members, Clients or a Client's Onsite Contact

    1. STOP Stand Back & observe

    2. THINK through the Task

    3. IDENTIFY Safety Issue

    4. ASSESS & CONTROL risks

    5. CONTINUALLY monitor risks

    Any Crew Members on their first SHS shift have completed the Orientation Induction*

    All Crew Members have been trained in the relevant SWMS for their Activities*

    All Crew Members have been trained and demonstrated Competency in the safe techniques of Manual Handling*

    All Crew Members have been trained and demonstrated competency in the safe techniques for Vehicle Loading / Unloading*

    All Crew Members have been trained and instructed to report all incidents and near misses using the Incident Report Form*

    All Crew Members have been trained and instructed to report any Safety Issues using the Report Safety Issue Form*
