Tool Box Talk

Show Support | 28th May 2018

Dear SHS Crew Members,

Please familiarise yourself with the Tool Box Talk.

This resource is the result of ongoing consultation between staff and management, specifically suited to the unique safety requirements of Show Support. It has been created for ease of use and to be available at all times and locations.

Crew Chiefs and/or senior SHS Crew Members are to read through the checklist to all Crew Members before each Shift as it forms the basis of our ‘Tool Box Talk’.

Some items may be glossed over at the discretion of the ranking SHS Crew Member if they are not relevant to the particular job. Conversely, other items may be included that are not in the Tool Box Talk in order to improve the safety briefing on that job.

The Tool Box Talk is easily accessible on the Show Support website under the WHS heading: Show Support Website > WHS > Tool Box Talk.

All Show Supporters should read through this to gain a thorough understanding of what is expected of them onsite.

The Tool Box Talk replaces the old paper version and requires no downloading, printing or scanning, is optimised for mobile use and is environmentally friendly.

The final page requires the name and signature of the senior SHS Crew Member that conducted the induction and is emailed to SHS Operations for storage.

Only fill in the last page if you are an authorised member of SHS staff.

All SHS Crew should take note of the final section of the Tool Box Talk on company Culture.

“Always work as a team, look out for your workmates and others onsite, and uphold the values of Show Support.
Senior Crew Members should always partner with junior Crew to continually train them in safe & efficient work methods.
Put in 110% effort for the client, stay motivated throughout the shift, proactively seek new tasks, perform them safely and quickly, to the best of your ability, until the job is done.”

Regards,

David Neil
